Community of Barnesville announces transformational downtown project

A new development project in downtown Barnesville in Belmont County is one step closer to reality. JEFBA, LLC, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), the Belmont County Port Authority and the Village of Barnesville, have announced an investment of over $2.9 million to construct a new building in historic downtown Barnesville, creating 15 new jobs.

Last week, the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) announced $995,339 in awards through READY Nonprofits, one of four tailored tracks under ARC’s capacity-building initiative, READY Appalachia. Funds will help 40 nonprofits from 11 Appalachian states build internal operating capacity, enabling them to solve pressing issues and create opportunities in their communities.
