McClain boys soccer defeats Eastern

It was a winning Saturday (Sept. 9) for the McClain boys soccer team, as they traveled to Brown County and defeated the Eastern Warriors by an 11-2 score.

Westley Smith led McClain with a double hat trick, scoring six goals and adding three assists.

Seth Weller finished with three goals for a hat trick and had two assists.

Scoring one goal each were Jobe Lugo (one assist) and Brice Graham.

Rayden Daugherty and Creed Davis each had one assist, and Robert Surritt totaled two assists.

McClain volleyball falls to Southeastern

The McClain Lady Tigers lost to the host Southeastern Panthers in non-conference volleyball action Saturday (Sept. 9) in three straight sets by scores off 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15.

SEHS totaled 33 kills, led by Jozy Lougheed with 15. Leading SEHS in aces was Jessie Higley with six as SEHS totaled 16. Higley also led the Lady Panthers with 11 digs.

McClain stats were not submitted for the event.
