Lady Mustangs earn win against Southeastern

\Friday night saw the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs end the week with a two-run victory, as they won their non-conference road game against the Southeastern Lady Panthers by a 5-3 score for their 14th win of the 2026 season. 

Lynchburg-Clay now has an overall record of 14-9. 

It was Southeastern striking first with a run in the bottom of the first inning, but the Lady Mustangs quickly tied the score at 1-1 with a run in the top of the second. SEHS regained the lead with a run at the bottom of the third. 

The Lady Mustangs took back the lead with a four-run top of the fifth inning, while SEHS scored their final run in the bottom of the sixth. 

Lynchburg-Clay collected five hits and had three errors in the win, while Southeastern finished with four hits and one error. 

Kami Collins for LCHS was 2-for-3 with two steals. Audrey Roberts went 1-for-4 with a run and a double.

Sadie Kuipers was 1-for-4 with one run and three RBI as her hit was a triple. Kendra Doss ended the day at 1-for-3. 

Audrey Barry stole a base, while Jazmine Brown finished with a run and a walk. Reese Ruble scored a run and had one RBI and a walk. Kylee Tong ended the game with a run and a walk. 

Noel Barnhill was the winning pitcher ,as she pitched all seven innings where she allowed no earned runs on four hits and no walks with six strikeouts. 

LCHS is scheduled for a regular-season game on Monday, May 18 vs. Piketon. The Lady Mustangs will play in a district semifinal game on Wednesday, May 20 against Portsmouth West at Unioto High School at 6 p.m.
