Hillsboro boys and girls soccer fall to Western Brown

On Monday both the Hillsboro Indians boys and girls soccer teams hosted the Western Brown Broncos in non-conference games as WBHS won both contests played at Hillsboro High School.
The Sept. 15 games saw the Lady Indians fall by a 4-2 score where goals for HHS were scored by senior Kobie Miles and sophomore Ella Jordan. Miles had the assist on Jordan’s goal.
At goal for Hillsboro was junior Phoebe Holland with 11 saves.
All four goals by Western Brown were scored by junior Kendall Hanlon with assists from freshman Harper Jones, sophomore Lydia Seibert, and senior Shayla Bailey.
In the boys game the Indians lost 4-0 to the visiting Broncos.
For the Broncos goals were scored by senior Brayden Shaw (two), freshman Mason Sanders (one), and senior Christian Bonilla with one. Assists were credited to sophomore Paxton Severn (two), senior Dakota Bolender (one), and freshman Jake Dick (one).
At goal for WBHS was senior Aiden Jetter with four saves, while HHS keeper Owen Davis also had four saves.
The loss left HHS with an overall record of 2-5-1. WBHS improved to 4-7-1 overall.
