Lady Indians win FAC road match at MTHS


The Hillsboro Lady Indians won in Frontier Athletic Conference play Tuesday (Aug. 26), as they traveled to Fayette County and won against the Miami Trace Lady Panthers by a 3-1 score. 

Goals for the Lady Indians were scored by Kobie Miles, who finished with two, and Quinn Swope, who scored one goal. Assists were earned by Piper Wilkin, Arianna Evans and Ella Jordan. 

Phoebe Holland was the keeper for Hillsboro, finishing with nine saves.

Fairfield falls on road to Fayetteville 

Fairfield lost their Southern Hills Athletic Conference road contest Tuesday (Aug. 26) in Brown County, falling to the host Fayetteville Lady Rockets by a 4-1 score. 

The lone goal scored by the Lady Lions was made by Ava Hooper, with the assist by Emerson Zink. FHS keeper Meri Jackson totaled eight saves. 

Fayetteville had goals from Aubrey Barber, Lily Carter (two) and Kenna Stratton. 

At goal for Fayetteville was Jada Kassner with five saves.

Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025 
Lady Mustangs shut out Ripley
 

Winning by six goals and not allowing a single goal, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs increased their non-loss streak to 101 games in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play by defeating the visiting Ripley Lady Blue Jays by a 6-0 score on Wednesday (Aug. 27). 

Lynchburg-Clay had two goals from Lily Ferguson, and one goal each by Savannah Bell, Lizzie Hall and Reese Ruble, and there was an own goal scored by RHS, giving LCHS six total goals. 

Assists were credited to Ruble. 

At goal for Lynchburg-Clay, Caitlyn Collins allowed no goals in the start at keeper, and also playing keeper for LCHS was Scarlett McElwee, who had two saves. 

The win improves LCHS to 4-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the SHAC.

Fairfield defeats Eastern 

On Thursday, Aug. 28, the Fairfield Lady Lions gained a Southern Hills Athletic Conference against the Eastern Lady Warriors by a 2-0 score at EHS. 

The win improved the Lady Lions’ overall record to 2-1-0 in the SHAC and 4-2-0 overall.

Hillsboro gains FAC win over Chillicothe
 

The Hillsboro Lady Indians continued to win in the Frontier Athletic Conference by earning a 4-0 win over the host Chillicothe Cavaliers on Thursday, Aug. 28 at CHS. 

Goals scored by Hillsboro were by Arianna Evans with two, Ella Jordan with one and Chillicothe added to Hillsboro’s total with an own goal. 

The victory improves the Lady Indians’ overall record to 4-1, while they have an FAC record of 2-0.

Lady Tigers win against Washington 

The McClain Lady Tigers gained a Frontier Athletic Conference win over the Washington Lady Blue Lions by an 8-0 score on Thursday, Aug. 28 at McClain Field. 

The win improves the Lady Tigers’ record to 2-0-0 in the FAC and 5-1-0 overall.
