Tigers fall at Miami Trace

On Friday night, the Frontier Athletic Conference game between the Miami Trace Panthers and the McClain Tigers resulted in the host Panthers defeating the visiting Tigers by 24 points, as MHS lost to Miami Trace, 48-24.
McClain trailed 11-8 when the first frame ended, followed by the Panthers scoring seven points in the second quarter, while the Tigers scored three points for a halftime score of 18-11.
Miami Trace took control of the game in the second half as Miami Trace scored 18 points in the third and 12 points in the fourth quarter, while the Tigers added eight points in the third and finished the game with a five-point fourth frame.
Jordan Bell led the Tigers with seven points, including two 3-pointers. Seth Weller followed with two 3-pointers for six points, and Owen Sykes also scored six points in the game.
Andrew Potts totaled four points for McClain, and scoring one point was Riley Cummins.
The Tigers were 6-of-11 from the free-throw line, committing 17 turnovers, while Miami Trace finished 3-of-5 from the free-throw line and had seven turnovers.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 0-7 in the FAC and 2-11 overall. Miami Trace improves to 7-0 in the FAC and 11-3 overall.
