McClain loses to Clinton-Massie
On Tuesday night, the McClain Tigers dropped a road non-conference game to the Clinton-Massie Falcons, 44-32.
The loss by the Tigers moves them to 1-8 overall.
MHS and the Falcons were tied at 9-9 after the first quarter, and following the Falcons outscoring the Tigers 15-5 in the second frame, it was CMHS leading McClain, 24-14 at halftime.
McClain scored 12 points in the third, while the Falcons added 13 points to their overall total. The fourth quarter consisted of the Tigers scoring six points and the Falcons scoring seven points to complete the non-conference game.
Michael Noszka Jr. was the Tigers’ leading scorer with 13 points, while Andrew Potts scored six points.
Seth Weller and Owen Sykes each scored four points in the loss, while Jordan Bell added three points and Jayden Allison finalized the scoring with two points.
Next for the Tigers is a home non-conference game on Friday, Jan. 5 against the Vinton County Vikings at 7:30 p.m.
