McClain Lady Tigers golf wins at Wilmington

The Lady Tigers of McClain returned to the links on Monday (Aug. 4), traveling to Clinton County to take on the Wilmington Lady Hurricane in a non-conference match at the Wilmington Elks. 

McClain won the match at 219-222 with McClain senior Kaylin Sterling being the individual medalist, carding a 41 in the nine-hole event.

The Lady Tigers also had scores of 57 each from seniors Reese Roble and Emma Marsh, while Lady Tiger senior Avery Murphy finished with a 64 score. Also the Lady Tigers had Maguire Ross card a 65 score. MHS sophomore Lyla Chamblin played in the event with a score of 72. 

Wilmington had the following individual scores: Abi Earley (48), Claire Connor (51), Ellie Molt (53), and Ally Oeder (70). 

The Lady Tigers play again on Thursday, Aug. 7, when they host Piketon at Buckeye Hills in non-conference action.
