Fairfield boys golf earns win over McClain and East Clinton

The Fairfield Lions boys golf team was back on the golf course on Tuesday (Aug. 19) in a tri-match against non-conference opponents, defeating McClain and East Clinton at the Snow Hill Golf Course. 

Fairfield won with a score of 187, while the Tigers of McClain were second at 197 and East Clinton was third place at 198. 

The Lions’ leader was Caleb Barrera with a score of 45, followed by Pierce Abbott and Van Bennington with each having a score of 46. 

Greyson Abbott followed with a 50 score, Titan Crowder was next at 54, and Keenan White had a score of 60.

McClain was led by match medalist Connor Chandler with a score of 42. 

MHS also had Carter Nelson with a score of 46. Next were Zander Lyons with a 54 score, and Carson Chandler had a score of 55.
