Visit AAA7 on the web
Debbie Gulley, AAA7 Interim Executive Director
The Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7) welcomes you to visit our new and improved website at www.aaa7.org.
Although the Agency has had a website for many years, participating in a redesign is always beneficial to create a more convenient experience for web visitors and provide greater opportunities for the community to learn more about the services provided through the AAA7.
Services provided directly through the AAA7, or through contracted community providers, include, but are not limited to: information, referral and assistance; personal care and homemaking; respite care; adult day care; assisted living; caregiver support; case management; home repair; transportation; home-delivered meals; community-center meal programs; and linkage to community services. Depending upon eligibility, income and other factors, services can be paid for by Medicare, Medicaid and other federal and state resources, as well as private pay.
Through a phone call and in-home assessment at no-cost to you, a specially-trained AAA7 nurse or social worker can engage in an in-depth conversation to help determine the needs of the individual, what they are eligible for and what programs and services are available in the community to best support their health, safety and well-being.
Our website serves as an important part of the process in educating others about services we provide and even offers an opportunity to make a referral to our Resource Center for a follow-up. Some of the special features of our new and improved website include:
• “Make a Referral” tab for a quick and easy way to alert us to an individual who would like to learn more about long-term care programs and resources in their community.
• Convenient “quick tiles” on our website’s Home Page that showcase topics of frequent interest.
• “Happening Now” section on our website’s Home Page that shares important news and updates.
• A “Search for Services’ feature and County Resource Guides that help web visitors learn more about specific long-term care resources and services in their local communities.
• The opportunity to sign up for our e-newsletter and other alerts and updates shared through our email list.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit our website, we encourage you to do so at www.aaa7.org.
If you have questions about long-term care resources in your community, call the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7) at 1-800-582-7277 or email info@aaa7.org.
Publisher's note: A free press is critical to having well-informed voters and citizens. While some news organizations opt for paid websites or costly paywalls, The Highland County Press has maintained a free newspaper and website for the last 25 years for our community. If you would like to contribute to this service, it would be greatly appreciated. Donations may be made to: The Highland County Press, P.O. Box 849, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. Please include "for website" on the memo line.
