Teacher retirement planning workshop to be held Oct. 8

The Highland County Retired Teachers’ Association (HCRTA) will sponsor a pre-retirement information workshop for all active teachers and administrators who are planning to retire in the next few years. The workshop will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. in the Hillsboro Elementary School Library on US Route 62 South.
Ms. Kelly McChristy will discuss general retirement procedures, and she will also answer specific personal questions related to retirement. She is the Retired Teacher Coordinator for STRS, and she is an excellent speaker.
