Southern State Singers to present June 10 spring concert

The Southern State Singers will present a spring concert 3 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in Room 107 of Southern State Community College's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will include a wide variety of patriotic, folk and nostalgic music, including "The Star-Spangled Banner," "A Revolutionary Salute," "In Flanders Field," "Wade in the Watah," "The Rio Grande," "Lowlands," "A Roving," "Tell My Ma," "Loch Lomond," "Old Dan Tucker," "Down by the Sally Gardens," "I Bought Me a Cat," "20th Century Celebration" and "John Denver: A Legacy of Song."

The Southern State Singers is a choral group comprised of students of Southern State Community College as well as members of the community. The group is directed by John Glaze; Mindy Lee performs as accompanist. For more information, please contact Glaze at jglaze@hcf.com.[[In-content Ad]]
