The Highland County 4-H Club Silver Spurs will have an open horse show on July 1 at 9 a.m. with English and Western classes. Some of the classes will include halter, showmanship, horsemanship, trail and reining. There will be several different items raffled during the show.

The club's adviser is Donna Griffith, who has been the Silver Spurs adviser for 20 years.

The club has been involved in many different community projects. Last year, members donated dry and canned dog food to the Highland County Dog Pound and canned goods to the Peebles Church of Christ. Last summer, it participated in the Relay for Life at the Highland County Fairgrounds.

The club welcomes everyone to join them, either as a spectator or a rider, to enjoy a day with horses.

Each of the classes for the show that day will need a sponsor. The cost to sponsor a class is $25. The money will go to the Silver Spurs. If interested in sponsoring a class, please contact Donna Griffith at silverspurs411@yahoo.com.
