Premier Showmen’s Carly Sanders excels at Angus Junior Nationals

Premier Showmen 4-H Club member Carly Sanders recently represented Highland County at the 2025 Angus Junior Nationals held June 28-July 5 in Tulsa, Okla.
This year’s event followed the theme “Moovin' Down Route 66,”drawing young Angus exhibitors from across the nation for a week of competition and camaraderie.
Carly showcased her hard work and dedication in both the show ring and educational contests. She earned a Top 15 finish in Showmanship with her heifer, a notable accomplishment in a highly competitive national field.
In addition to showing, Carly competed in the Skillathon contest, which tested participants on their knowledge of cattle and the Angus industry. She placed an impressive 8th overall in the Intermediate Division, demonstrating her depth of understanding and passion for the breed.
Reflecting on the experience, Carly shared that the opportunity to compete at Junior Nationals was both rewarding and inspiring. “It was a great way to show the hard work I’ve put in with my heifer,” she said.
Her participation is a proud moment for the Premier Showmen Club and a testament to the dedication and excellence of local youth in agriculture.
