Premier Showmen 4-H Club thanks Highland County Sheriff's Office through Gover-Mint project

Members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club recently visited the Highland County Sheriff's Office as part of their community service project aimed at recognizing local leaders and public servants for their dedication to the community.
As part of the club's "Gover-Mint" project, members delivered peppermint-filled jars with a special message that read, "Gover-mint works better because of leaders like you. Thank you for all you do!" The jars were presented to members of the Sheriff's Office as a token of appreciation for their service, protection, and commitment to the residents of Highland County.
During the visit, Sheriff Randy Sanders welcomed the youth and provided a tour of the Sheriff's Office, giving members an opportunity to learn more about law enforcement and the important role deputies play in keeping the community safe.
Sheriff Sanders also surprised the youth by giving each member a new pair of sunglasses.
The club members enjoyed the tour and appreciated the chance to meet the men and women who serve and protect Highland County each day. Premier Showmen members are grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and service provided by the Highland County Sheriff's Office and were honored to express their thanks through this meaningful community service project.

Premier Showmen members attend Blake Herdman's Barn Bootcamp
On June 6, several members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club participated in Blake Herdman's Barn Bootcamp, an educational event designed to help youth strengthen their skills and knowledge in the beef industry.
Throughout the day, participants gained valuable hands-on experience in beef cattle fitting, showcasing techniques, and strategies to optimize success with their beef projects.
The bootcamp provided youth with the opportunity to learn while improving their understanding of proper animal presentation, daily management practices, and show ring preparation.
Representing Premier Showmen at the event were Dwight Phillip Hamilton, Kalen Juillerat, Christian Cummings, Austin Bohrer, Kennedy Hamilton, MJ Fannin, Titus Fannin, Ryleeann Hawk, and Khloe Juillerat.
The club is proud of these members for investing time in their livestock education and taking advantage of opportunities to expand their knowledge. Experiences like Barn Bootcamp help youth develop confidence, leadership, and skills that will benefit them both in and out of the show ring.
