Premier Showmen 4-H Club service project brings smiles to USMC unit

On June 29, the Premier Showmen 4-H Club gathered and prepared an abundance of goodie bags and buckets for the benefit of local veterans and service members. 

The service project, Stars, Stripes & Smiles, was headed by 4-H member Kenley Juillerat. 

Earlier this month, Kenley and other members delivered the goodie buckets to local veterans to bring smiles for the Fourth of July holiday.

On Saturday, July 12, the goodie bags made their way to the United States Marine Corps Communications Company of Cincinnati. The bags were hand delivered to Staff Sergeant (SSgt) William M. Kelly by the Premier Showmen 4-H Club, which he then delivered to the unit when they met to commence their 14-day training period at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

SSgt Kelly extended great gratitude to the 4-H Club and highlighted that the Marines in the unit will be “thrilled” to have the snacks and patriotic thank-you notes during the training. He reiterated that the 14-day period is spent outdoors with rigorous drills to enhance their instruction and anything to make the training better is much appreciated. Premier Showmen 4-H members were happy to supply a small token of appreciation for our service members
