Kennedy Hamilton, Blake Osborn and Wyatt Osborn are gaining firsthand insight into one of Ohio’s most important agricultural industries after attending an event connected with the Ohio Beef Council, an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting beef production across the state.
Kennedy Hamilton, a young participant with ties to the cattle industry, recently took part in activities associated with the Ohio Beef Council, where she was able to learn more about how beef moves from pasture to plate. The experience provided a closer look at the people, programs, and education efforts that help sustain Ohio’s beef industry.
The Ohio Beef Council is a nonprofit organization funded through the national and state beef checkoff program. Its mission is to strengthen demand for beef by investing in promotion, research, and education initiatives that connect farmers with consumers.
During her involvement, Hamilton was exposed to programs designed to educate youth and future leaders in agriculture. These initiatives often include hands-on learning, leadership development, and opportunities to better understand livestock management and food production.
