Premier Showmen 4-H Club members collect books for Altrusa
Members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club are trying to make a big impact on literacy in Highland County by collecting 438 books to be donated to the Highland County Altrusa organization.
Community Service Officer Austin Bohrer started this initiative to help the Altrusa club to be able to fill the 11 free libraries throughout the county to help kids have access to books over the summer for free.
The club hopes that it will allow everyone the chance to read a good book, due to reading being such an important skill to possess.
This project reflects the clubs commitment to leadership, citizenship and making a difference through teamwork and partnerships with other clubs in the community.
