Premier Showmen 4-H Club member participates in State ATI Livestock Judging Camp

Premier Showmen 4-H Club member Wyatt Osborn recently participated in the Ohio State ATI Livestock Judging Camp held in Wooster, Ohio. The camp brought together youth from across the state who share a passion for the livestock industry and a desire to strengthen their knowledge and skills in livestock evaluation.

Throughout the camp, Wyatt had the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, industry professionals, and collegiate judging team members. Participants spent time evaluating a variety of livestock species, including beef cattle, swine, sheep, and goats, while learning the fundamentals of proper animal selection and livestock judging techniques.

In addition to evaluating livestock, campers focused on developing oral reasons, a critical component of livestock judging that requires participants to clearly communicate and defend their placing decisions. Through hands-on activities, practice sessions, and team exercises, Wyatt enhanced his critical thinking, decision-making, and public speaking abilities.

The Ohio State ATI Livestock Judging Camp is designed to help youth gain confidence, improve leadership skills, and prepare for future opportunities in agriculture. Camp participants also had the chance to build friendships with fellow livestock enthusiasts from across Ohio while sharing experiences and learning from one another.

Wyatt's participation in this educational experience demonstrates his commitment to personal growth and his dedication to the livestock industry. The knowledge and skills gained through opportunities such as the Ohio State ATI Livestock Judging Camp will continue to benefit him in future livestock projects, judging contests, and agricultural endeavors.

The members and advisors of Premier Showmen are proud of Wyatt for representing the club in a positive manner and taking advantage of this outstanding educational opportunity.
