Premier Showmen 4-H Club holds meeting

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club met at the Highland County Fairgrounds for a monthly meeting that combined important club business with fun, interactive activities, including officer elections, an Easter egg hunt, and a leadership “get to know you” game.
The meeting began with a leadership activity designed to help members become more familiar with one another. During the “get to know you” game, members went around the room introducing themselves, sharing interests, and learning more about their fellow club members. This activity helped create a welcoming environment, especially for newer members, while also encouraging communication and confidence.
Following the leadership game, members took part in an Easter egg hunt held in an open grassy area near the meeting space. Prior to the hunt, volunteers hid numerous colorful eggs filled with candy and small prizes. When the doors opened, members eagerly rushed outside to search for eggs, creating an exciting and energetic atmosphere. In addition to candy, a few lucky participants discovered special eggs containing $5 gift cards to the Holtfield Coffee Station, adding an extra level of excitement to the activity.
After the Easter egg hunt concluded, the meeting shifted focus to club business. Members discussed the upcoming officer elections, learning more about the responsibilities associated with each leadership position.
Candidates had the opportunity to be considered for roles, and members then voted for their preferred individuals to represent the club in the coming term. This process allowed members to actively participate in decision-making and leadership development within the organization.
Overall, the meeting provided a balanced combination of fun and responsibility. Members were able to enjoy seasonal activities while also taking part in meaningful discussions and decisions that impact the club. Events like this continue to strengthen teamwork, leadership skills, and friendships among members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club.
