Premier Showmen 4-H Club holds June meeting

Premier Showmen 4-H Club
The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held its regular meeting on June 1 with a full agenda of educational activities, reports, and community service efforts.
The meeting kicked off with a leadership activity led by Leadership Recreation Officer Christian Cummings. Members participated in a teamwork challenge where they had to pass a small ball through a series of tubes across the room without dropping it. The activity emphasized the importance of communication and collaboration among club members.
Following the activity, members transitioned into the business portion of the meeting. Safety Officer Kennedy Hamilton presented a safety report on swimsuit colors and their visibility in water, offering important information for summer swimming safety.
Kalen Juillerat followed with a report on PTO shaft safety, reminding members of precautions to take when working around farm equipment. Health Officer Cole Lumen delivered a health report highlighting the importance of proper handwashing in maintaining good hygiene and a healthy lifestyle. Ethan Clouser continued the focus on well-being with a presentation on the importance of staying hydrated, especially during the warmer months.
Community Service Officer Austin Bohrer led a hands-on activity where members created greeting cards for active military members and veterans. These cards will be part of a larger upcoming community service project.
Several members gave demonstrations to the club, showcasing their knowledge and presentation skills. Some demonstrations included Club President Carly Sanders concluded the meeting’s business segment by leading a discussion on new business items and upcoming events.
Meanwhile, Cloverbuds explored the topic of beef cattle, learning about the parts of a cow and the many byproducts that come from the beef industry. The meeting wrapped up with a friendly game of kickball and refreshments, giving members a chance to relax and socialize.
