Pancake brunch with Santa
All the young and young at heart are cordially invited to the Morgan-Bodenhamer Senior Center for a gala Pancake Brunch with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The menu includes all-you-care-to eat pancakes & sausage and biscuits & gravy. Visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus (don’t forget your Christmas list) in our “North Pole Room” beautifully decorated by Purdin’s Elves. There will be free candy canes for the kids and lots of door prizes. Admission is just $4 for children and adults. This party is open to the whole community, so bring your friends, neighbors and grandkids.
Christmas dinner
One of our great blessings is to share the joy of Christmas at our annual Christmas dinner. Please note that the dinner this year will be on Friday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) from noon-2 p.m. for food and fellowship. All center members, their families and their guests are welcome. We will provide meat, potatoes, green beans, beverages and table service. Please bring a covered dish (salad, vegetable or dessert) to share. Each family will also receive a fruit basket, sponsored by Heskett Insurance and Turner & Son Funeral Home.
Reservations are requested so that we’ll know how much food to prepare. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the meal or deliver meals to homebound seniors. Please call us at 393-4745 to make your reservations or to volunteer.
This is also the time of year when many members and supporters choose to make a tax deductible monetary donation to the center. These gifts help us to offer the many programs and services we provide. We have a donation box by the Christmas tree for this purpose, or you may mail donations to the center at 185 Muntz St., Hillsboro.[[In-content Ad]]
