News from Hillsboro Emblem Club
Members of the Hillsboro Emblem Club gathered for a Christmas Party and meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14. Thirteen members enjoyed dinner and a gift exchange.
Members purchased Christmas gifts for 10 residents of Crestwood Nursing Home who do not have family members around
this time of year. A total of 2,000 coupons were sent to Germany for our troops overseas. Labels, box tops and pop tabs were taken to area schools. A short article was read remembering Pearl Harbor Day.
Fifty toys and stuffed animals were brought in to be given to the Highland District Hospital Surgery Department. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 7 pm.
