New Vienna church presents 'The Christmas Guest'

The New Vienna Community Church welcomes the public to the presentation of the Christmas play, "The Christmas Guest" at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. The church is located at 412 West Street in New Vienna. The play will be followed by a traditional candlelight service. The evening will conclude with refreshments provided by some of the cast.
The production represents the first Christmas production for the church celebrating just its second Christmas together as a congregation. Director Richard Edwards expressed excitement about the play and the professional nature of the production. It helps to have a cast headed by Marcus Mayo, no stranger to theatre, with five years' experience in productions including one of the lead roles in his high school play this fall.
The play illustrates the commitment we make as Christians to care for those less fortunate and how we serve the Lord by serving others. Traditional carols are sung throughout the play by the Church choir.
