Marshall ladies enjoy annual Christmas party

The Marshall Community Ladies Group held their annual Christmas dinner and party on Friday, Dec. 18. After the dinner meal and door prizes, the evening entertainment was provided by the talented singing Grover family.
Eight-year-old Lana Grover played an unusual instrument called a limberjack, an Appalachian Mountain instrument in the form of a dancing sheep. She had also played for her class at school that day.
The limberjack instrument was given to Lana’s grandmother Gloria Flannery by an old college roommate, whose husband is a minister who does wood carving and made the dancing sheep.
Lana is the daughter of John and Kristie Grover, granddaughter of Frank and Rita Grover, and Joyce Grover, and Charlie and Gloria Flannery. The evening was enjoyed by all, and the group was very entertained by Lana playing the limberjack.
The Marshall Community Ladies Group meets the last Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. at the firehouse in Marshall. The Ladies Group does helpful things for people in and around the community. At
