The “magic” at Magic Waters Theatre indeed worked for their opening weekend as performances continued despite the threat of terrible storms.

The storms did not happen, and those who were brave enough to defy the weatherman enjoyed a pleasant family show at the rustic amphitheatre.

“It happens more times than not,” says Janny Brizius, producer and playwrite. "It often is raining cats and dogs on Route 50, but not a drop at Magic Waters! I don’t question it!”

Folks will have two more weekends to see this delightful fantasy show which not only gives kids a message, but also tells them some history and folklore of “Cave Holler,” the area where Magic Waters is located.

Boonie the Magician also puts on a full stage magic show as part of the play.

Presented as a child’s fantasy, the play is being enjoyed by the young at heart of all ages.

Admission is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children, and $4 for Seniors.

The play continues at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays through June 25.

Not been to Magic Waters before? Well, it is located just off of U.S. Route 50, midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe on the Cave Road.
