Lawrence family gathers for five-generation photo

Ruth Howard Lawrence of Bellevue, Mich., formerly of Highland County, recently posed for a five-generation family photo. Pictured are mother, Alison, and daughter, Sophie Elizabeth Kelley; Kelli Whitney, grandmother; Ruth Howard Lawrence, great-great-grandmother; and Kathy Lawrence Whitney, great-grandmother.

Ruth was raised in Highland County and graduated from Sinking Spring High School. She retired from working for the United States government. She traveled to many states and resided in some foreign countries as part of her job.

She has nieces, nephews and other relatives who reside in the Highland County area.
