The Laurels hosts 'jackpot bingo' for assisted living facilities

    The Laurels of Hillsboro recently hosted the first annual jackpot bingo at their facility on Jan. 27.
   
    They invited local nursing homes and assisted living facilities to play bingo for a jackpot of $345 in cash and gift cards.
   
    Heartland of Hillsboro and Highland House guests gladly accepted the invitation. Various volunteers and family members from the community helped with the event.
   
    Donations were provided by The Laurels of Hillsboro, Amvets Post 61, Community Care Hospice, Hospice of Hope, and Highland House.
   
    The guests of each facility enjoyed the camaraderie, and are excited for the next jackpot bingo to be held at Heartland of Hillsboro on March 24.
   
    In the future, there are plans to expand this event, as it was a huge success.
   
    Donations are appreciated and gladly accepted by Patty Roades and Kelley Condo.
