Hillsboro First Presbyterian Youth Group makes a difference with care baskets

In honor of National Make a Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 25, the youth group of Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church found a meaningful way to give back to those who serve the community every day.

The group assembled and delivered care baskets to the Highland District Hospital Emergency Room nurses across all shifts, as well as to the staff at the Highland County Health Department. 

Each basket was thoughtfully filled and designed to remind these dedicated workers that they are appreciated, valued, and loved.  

“Our goal was to make an impact on the people who make a difference in the lives of others,” said youth group member Chloe Pierson. “We wanted to show them how thankful we are for their hard work and compassion.”  

Through this thoughtful initiative, the Hillsboro First Presbyterian Youth Group embodied the spirit of National Make a Difference Day by demonstrating that kindness and gratitude can have a lasting impact on those who care for others.
