Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church youths donate 238 cans to local outreach during Vacation Bible School

Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church recently held its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) on July 15-17, welcoming young cowboys and cowgirls to a rootin’-tootin’ good time filled with faith, fun, and service.

This year’s VBS theme encouraged children to participate in a “Project with a Purpose,” collecting canned beans and soup — cowboy-style staples — as part of their mission to serve others in their community. Over the course of the three-day event, the youths generously donated a total of 238 cans.

These donations were delivered to Highland County Samaritan Outreach Services, where they will help support local families facing food insecurity.

Our children not only learned about the love of Jesus, they lived it out. The Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church continues to find ways to instill compassion and service in its youth while sharing the message of God’s love with the broader community.
