Hillsboro Emblem Club readies for America's 250th birthday

This year marks the 250th birthday of our beloved USA and plans are underway all across our nation to celebrate, including in Hillsboro. Please watch for news updates from the Chamber of Commerce, the Highland County Historical Society, Hillsboro City Council and other local organizations who are hosting various events throughout the coming months.  

The Hillsboro Emblem Club discussed how we may participate in some of these activities at our regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13. Our first Ohio state meeting was Jan. 10-11 in Wooster, and we received an update on what our other Emblem Clubs are planning. 
 
We want to thank Debbie Williams of the Highland House Museum, for hosting our December Christmas carry-in dinner meeting and allowing us to tour the beautifully decorated rooms. The museum is a treasure trove filled with Highland County artifacts and historical memorabilia.

Instead of  a gift exchange, we simply donated those dollars to the museum for upkeep.
