Highland County Senior Citizens Center hosts 10th annual Elvis Tribute Show March 21

The Highland County Senior Citizens Center is bringing the excitement of Elvis Presley back to the stage with an unforgettable evening of music, energy, and nostalgia — all for a great cause. 

The Center’s 10th annual Elvis Tribute Show, featuring nationally recognized tribute artist Tyler Christopher, will take place Saturday, March 21, and tickets are on sale now for what is typically a sold-out event. The public is invited to attend.

This year’s show is expected to draw large crowds once again, with front-row seats selling out in just an hour and a half. While good seats are still available, the Center encourages the public to purchase tickets soon as availability is limited.

Last year’s event welcomed 275 guests, with tickets selling out a full week before the performance. Because of the strong demand, the Center urges the public to secure their seats now.

Christopher is widely recognized as one of the nation’s most celebrated Elvis tribute artists. He was ranked in the Top 5 in the World at the prestigious Elvis Festival in Tupelo, Mississippi — Elvis Presley’s hometown — earned a Top 3 placement at the King of Las Vegas Elvis competitions, and was named Grand Champion of the Elvis FANtasy Fest in Indiana.

The 30-something performer presents more than 200 shows each year and has sold out the Highland County Senior Citizens Center’s Annual Elvis Tribute Event for nine consecutive years. His reputation draws fans from across state lines who travel each year to experience his electrifying performances.

With his powerful voice, dynamic dance moves, authentic mannerisms, and stunning costumes representing Elvis’ iconic 1950s, 60s, and 70s eras, Christopher does more than perform — he brings the King back to life. Backed by his full live band on stage, complete with backup vocals, lead guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and professional sound and lighting, the show takes audiences on a high-energy musical journey through the entire career of Elvis Presley.

One fan-favorite moment of the evening comes when Christopher passes out scarves to audience members, just as Elvis Presley famously did during his concerts. The two-hour show, which includes an intermission, is packed with Elvis’ greatest hits and fan favorites and is presented as a full-scale concert-style performance that has audiences singing, clapping, and dancing in their seats – or on the dance floor.

Fans consistently praise Christopher’s performances. One attendee shared, “Tyler Christopher is the best Elvis Presley tribute artist I have ever seen. His energy and enthusiasm are astounding. His voice, costumes, and mannerisms are true to Elvis’ memory. When he’s on stage — he is Elvis Presley. I will see him at the Center every chance I get.”

Proceeds from the event benefit the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that receives no government funding.

“We work hard at fundraising because it supports our organization’s mission, and our events are both fun and meaningful ways to get the public involved with our seniors,” said Executive Director Mechell Karnes.
