The Highland County Homeless Shelter has partnered with Slow and Low Barbeque (across from TSC) and Maw and Paw's in Lynchburg to treat your valentine while helping the homeless. These two restaurants have agreed to sell red velvet cake slices for $1.50 each to their patrons, with proceeds going to the shelter.
Ashley Crone, who is a volunteer for the shelter and part of the Whiteoak Applied Learning Center class, will make the red velvet cake for the restaurants. Maw and Paw's will sell the slices on Feb. 12, while Slow and Low Barbeque will sell the cake slices on Feb. 4, 5, 11, and 12.
The Homeless Shelter staff thanks the community for their continued support.[[In-content Ad]]
