With the 2025 Highland County Fair quickly approaching, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA wants to remind and encourage members to participate in the Skillathon. 

Skillathon is a test of how well you know your project animal. Through a series of questions about skeletal structure, feed, healthy behaviors, or breed identification. The goal of the skillathon is to motivate 4-H and FFA members alike to learn as much about their animal as they can. Phones and smart watches are prohibited while testing. 

The skillathon for the Highland County Fair will take place at the fairgrounds on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. This is the only time available to take part in the skillathon.
