Griffith to compete in Miss Teen Ohio pageant

Amie Lyn Griffith, 17, of Hillsboro, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Teen Ohio Pageant to be held July 28-29 at the beautiful Hyatt-Regency in Columbus. The pageant is held for girls ages 16-18. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California. Pageants are held for girls ages 4-18, in five age groups.
Griffith's activities include: HHS student body president; National Honor Society; Lady Indians golf team; symphonic choir; band; HCFY swim team; 4-H; junior leadership; junior fair board; and Highland County Junior Fair Queen. She also enjoys teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding at the Highland County Family YMCA and spending time with her family and friends. Her sponsors include Atkinson Automotive, Chuck Wait Tire, Hillsboro Veterinary Hospital, Hoagland Printing & Embroidery, Papa's Kettle Corn, Shane Ison (Highland Lanes), Sims Family Golf Center, Tina Walker (Merle Norman stylist), Westview Motors, Becky and Aric Fiscus, Clinton and Katie Wharton, Sabrina Mercer, Vicki Harris and Lori Newman.
