Model Alison Gingerich, originally from Leesburg, was eliminated on the Thursday, March 11 episode of Lifetime's "Models of the Runway" companion show to "Project Runway."
Gingerich modeled a suit designed by Ben Chmura on the March 11 episode of "Project Runway." Chmura was eliminated by the judges due to the poor quality and design of the suit.
On "Models of the Runway," Gingerich and contestant Monique Darton were the bottom two, and "Project Runway" designer Anthony Williams was asked to make the final decision. Williams chose Darton to model his next design.
Gingerich finished the show in ninth place out of 16 models.
Cerri McQuillan said after Gingerich's elimination that the remaining models have "lost all the positive energy," saying that Gingerich smiled and maintained an optimistic outlook more than any other contestant.

"Project Runway" and "Models of the Runway" can be seen Thursday and Friday nights on Lifetime, starting at 10 p.m.
