Flag Day ceremony June 14 at Hillsboro VFW Post 9094

The Hillsboro VFW Post 9094, 1000 W. Main Street, Hillsboro, will present a flag ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at the Pavilion. This ceremony is open to the public.

Flag Day commemorates the official adoption of the American flag by the Second Continental Congress during the Revolutionary War. 

Flag Day celebrates both the founding of an American identity and nationality, as well as the fight for independence.

Flag Day occurs each year on June 14, the anniversary of the United States' flag’s adoption in 1777.
