The Festival of the Bells Committee and the Highland County Firefighters Association encourage everyone to attend the Festival Parade this Saturday, July 12 in Hillsboro.

The parade will kick off at noon from the parking lot at Richards Memorial Field.   Line up starts at 10 a.m. Entries should enter from Elm Street for line-up.

There will be judging for the Fire Department and the Life Squad entries as well as Best Theme, Judges' Choice, and Most Patriotic for non emergency entries.

The theme this year is "Let the Good Times Roll."

With the festival at the Highland County Fairgrounds this year, the parade route has changed.

The parade will take Oak Street to West Walnut Street. It will then go West Walnut to Elm St., Elm Street, crossing West Main Street, continuing on Elm Street to the Fairgrounds.

With the festival at the fairgrounds we wanted the parade to end there. Everyone is encouraged to line the route or head out the fairgrounds and watch the parade.

Entries will be announced at the main stage.
