On Saturday, May 17, at 6 p.m., the Fayette Community Chorale, under the leadership of director Richard Glass, will be presenting Dinner and a Concert, to be held at Grace Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 301 East Market Street, Washington C.H. Doors will open for the dinner guests at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets for the dinner and the concert are $25 each, and can be purchased from any choral member or by contacting Dick Glass, Director, at (740) 505-6191. Reservations for the dinner and show must be made and paid for by Friday, May 9. People who wish to come to the concert only will pay $10 at the door.
As in previous dinner/concerts, a $10 mystery gift card draw will be taking place at the door. Anyone wishing to participate in the draw must pay $10 at the door and draw their card. The mystery gift card draw is limited to a first-come, first-serve basis.
The dinner, which begins at 6 p.m., consists of parmesan crusted chicken, cheesy potatoes, green beans, salad, and chocolate cake. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. The theme for this musical performance is BIG BAND BASH, which will feature music from the 1940s.
Come one, and come all, to enjoy a lovely evening of culinary delights, and melodically fun, and rhythmic music. Feel free to enjoy this musically rhythmic bash and move, swing and sing with these rhythmic tunes. After all, as the late Duke Ellington wrote, “It Don’t Mean a Thing (if it Ain’t Got that Swing).”
