The final days of Christmas at the Cabin for 2011 are quickly approaching (Dec. 18 being the final day).
However, Janny Brizius, who lovingly watches over the cabin’s operation, reports that nearly all of her artisans are replenishing their wares to the extent that the cabin looks as full and as beautiful as ever!
She also reports that many new folks are discovering and delighting in her unique holiday shop which is situated in an authentic old log cabin on Cave Road.
"How old is this cabin?” is often the first thing folks say as they enter the door. Well, that is a story in itself, and there are several more “Cabin Stories” that folks demand to hear about because hearing about its history seems to be all a part of the visit to the cabin experience. However, so is the surprise in seeing all of the beautiful handmade creations throughout the cabin.
From exquisite wreaths to dolls and toys to household decor to clothing and jewelry, it’s all for sale at the cabin, and at reasonable prices, too, because Janny will not accept any overpriced items.
Christmas at the Cabin is located on Cave Road, just off of U.S. Route 50, midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe, and it is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1-5 p.m.
