Christmas greetings from all of us here at the Leesburg Library! We hope
you will be able to join us for some of our festive December programs.
Our Knit Together group will meet on Thursday, December 3 and 17 from 5:30-7
PM.  Bring your current project and join us for some conversation and
knitting.
The Leesburg Library Merry Money Store will be open from 10:30-2:30 on
Saturday, December 5.  Please bring your child and their Merry Money during
your pre-assigned shopping time to purchase gifts.  The elves will be here
to assist your children with their Christmas shopping while parents can
enjoy browsing the library and munching on some holiday refreshments.  Dawna
Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension Office will also be here from
11-1 on December 5 to share tips on “Gifts from the Kitchen”.
SPARX (Teen Book Group) will meet on Thursday, December 10 at 5:30 PM for
their Christmas gathering.  Books being discussed are reader’s choice of
London Calling by Edward Bloor, Eternal by Cynthia Smith, The Schwa Was Here
by Neal Shusterman, or The Key to Rondo by Emily Rodda.  Pizza and other
treats will be served and the teens will also have a book gift exchange.
Join us for some holiday fun!
The Leesburg Library will be hosting the presentation of the King and Queen
during the Leesburg Luminaria festivities on Sunday, December 13.  The

held at the Leesburg Church of Christ at 7:30 PM.  Please stop in for some
refreshments and holiday cheer!

4-5 PM for their Christmas Party.  Pizza and pop will be served.  There will
be an optional gift exchange with a limit of $5.  Book to be discussed is
The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangis.  This is the 3rd installment of the 39
Clues series.  Copies are available at the front desk so please pick one up
and read it before coming to the meeting.  We would appreciate it if
students could RSVP to Mrs. Reno or the library staff if you plan on
attending!
RRR will meet on Thursday, December 17 at 1:30 for their Christmas party.
Discussion book is Read It and Eat by Sarah Gardner.  There will be a $5-6
gift exchange as well.
Please come and wish Joy Smith well as she retires from the Leesburg Library
after 6+ years of service.  We will have an open house reception for her on
Monday, December 28 from 1-3 PM.  Light refreshments will be served.
Story Times continue on Thursdays.  This month’s themes include
