The Canine Commanders 4-H Club held their first meeting of 2012 on March 5.
They held their elections for officers. They are as follows: President Kristen Waits; Vice President Meredith Oglesby; Secretary Michaela Chaney; Treasurer Makenzie Scott; and News Reporter Robert Lanning.
All officers were required to attend officer training on March 19 to learn how to do their offices correctly. Members also went over many changes to the dog obedience program.
On March 26, the club held its second meeting.
All paperwork was due so that the advisers had time to check it for correct classes.
In new business, the club constitution was read by President Kristen Waits and the treasurer's report was given by Makenzie Scott.
Orders were taken for candy bars. Candy bars may be picked up on April 13 at 6 p.m., and money is due May 10. The public can buy candy bars from any 4-H member for $1.
The club voted to purchase one book for each family, if there weren't any other changes besides the obedience classes.
The next meeting will be April 9 at 7 p.m. at the 4-H food booth.
