Bowl for Kids' Sake
Bowl for Kids' Sake, sponsored by Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association, s held from March to May each year. The Community Day Bowlers participate on special days during March, April and May. There are five Community Day events; one in Chillicothe, Circleville, Washington Court House, Portsmouth and in Hillsboro. Bowlers are required to raise $50 in sponsors in order to bowl and teams consist of 5 bowlers. 
It is a fun time. The bowlers get to bowl two free games, with bowling shoes included. The association provides two free soft drinks, food, and fantastic door prizes are given throughout each event. 
These Community Bowling Dates are reserved for the event:
Pickaway County - Pickaway Lanes - Sunday, March 28.
Ross County - Shawnee Lanes - Sunday, April 11.
Fayette County - LeElla Lanes - Sunday, April 18.
Highland County - Highland Lanes - Sunday, April 25.
Scioto County - Sunset Lanes - Sunday, April 25.
The following bowling alleys host the events:
Shawnee Lanes - 1680 N. Bridge St., Chillicothe.
Pickaway Lanes - 1410 N. Court St., Circleville.
LeElla Lanes - 1428 U.S. 22 West, Washington Court House.
Highland Lanes - 1086 N. High St., Hillsboro.
Sunset Lanes - 2330 17th St., Portsmouth.
 
Bowlers must call the office to reserve a lane at (740)773-2447 or at 1-800-888-6335. Bowlers can also email to bbbssco@bright.net with BFKS in the subject line. In the email, include the team contact name and phone number and the name of their team. For more information, go to http://www.bbbssco.org and select Events.
