“Books for All Kids” has been an ongoing project for many years for Altrusa of Highland County.

Club members began the project by delivering new books to students at just a few grade levels in Highland County. Various fundraisers helped provide the money necessary to increase the number of grades served.

In the last couple of years, generous donations and the club’s continued fundraisers helped stretch those book deliveries to grades K-5.

Club members were so excited this year to be able to include preschoolers and provide funding for sixth grade teachers for their literacy needs. Over 700 books were delivered to seventeen different preschools in the county. Special thanks to NCB, Merchants National Bank, Eagles 1161, Weastec and Hillsboro Peace Lutheran Church for their financial support.
