Altrusa begins book distribution

Altrusa recently obtained approximately 2,000 books donated by the Ohio Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council.

Altrusa picked up the books and then sorted them into grade levels.

The books will now be distributed to the newborn and school-age children in Highland County.

Altrusa also purchased new books this year for every kindergarten, third-grade and sixth-grade pupil in Highland County.

This group of professional women continue to work hard on making sure every child has an opportunity to read. Literacy continues to be the main goal of Altrusa of Highland County.
