ADAMH thanks frontline workers during week of appreciation
The Paint Valley Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board, along with Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities, are designating the week of Sept. 16-20 as a “Week of Appreciation” honoring frontline workers.
This week, we are hand-delivering insulated lunchboxes to frontline workers across Paint Valley ADAMH’s five-county service area – Fayette, Highland, Pickaway, Pike and Ross counties – as a token of our appreciation.
“We appreciate our first responders and behavioral healthcare providers who go above and beyond every single day,” said Melanie Swisher, Paint Valley ADAMH Board Executive Director. “They tirelessly work to help keep our communities safe and to help those struggling with mental illness and addiction get the services that they need. Their strength, dedication and care are greatly appreciated. When individuals are engaged in treatment and experience recovery, the whole community benefits.”
These invaluable frontline workers include first responders providing treatment in emergency rooms, mental health and addiction providers as well as law enforcement, EMS, fire and county health departments.
The Paint Valley ADAMH Board is a political subdivision of state government created in 1967 by the Ohio legislature to ensure the availability of community-based alcohol, drug addiction, and mental health services for the residents of Fayette, Highland, Pickaway, Pike and Ross counties.
