The McClain Tigers varsity boys soccer team and the Miami Trace Panthers played pretty much even in first half of their match Tuesday night in Greenfield.
The Panthers held a slim 3-2 advantage at the break, and McClain’s two goals were scored by Brynnen Babbs, which would be the Tigers’ only goals of the match.
It was all Miami Trace in the second half, though, when they scored three goals, one coming on a penalty kick — which was their second of the match — in the 6-2 victory.
Despite the loss, the Tigers played aggressively and with a lot of heart until the final horn sounded.
McClain will host Chillicothe on Thursday, Sept. 28 with a 7 p.m. start time.
