Democrats’ consistency

There is one thing you can say about the Democrats – they are consistent. You might just call them the Kick the Can down the Road party.
Except when they can collect money now.
We have been kicking the can down the road for 47 years with Iran. It started in the days of Jimmy Carter.
We have let the Iranians grow their hostility to the point that it has become very dangerous. Now that President Trump is doing something about it, the Democrats are up in arms. Just how long do they want to let this continue?
The Iranian government has gotten about as close as one would want in their capability to fling atomic bombs long distances. Did you want to play chicken a little longer?
We find the same thing with the border mess and illegal entry into our country. It looks like major cities are already in trouble and many innocent victims have been murdered by intruders that are not properly vetted.
How much more of this do we want before we say enough?
Democrats, failing at providing the citizens of our country with real improvements and protection which might garner them votes, want illegal aliens allowed to illegally vote in order to keep themselves in power. This also keeps the gravy train voting towards sustaining their favorite projects as well.
Take global warming. If it exists, the manifestation of its effects are further away and far less catastrophic than a nuclear armed Iran or North Korea. But the Democrats keep pushing it. They call it an “existential threat.”
There is a lot of talk these days about “existential threats.”
I had no idea what this meant, so I asked ChatGPT:
“An existential threat is something that could destroy or fundamentally end the existence of something.
“Most often, it’s used in two main ways:
For individuals:
“A threat to someone’s survival or identity (for example, a life-threatening illness or a situation that could completely change who they are).
“For groups or humanity:
“A danger that could wipe out or permanently damage a society, civilization, or even all human life – like nuclear war, extreme climate change, or a massive asteroid impact.” I note that it put nuclear war and EXTREME climate change in the same sentence.
As I see the difference, nuclear war requires the expenditure of treasure in unpopular places. Extreme climate change keeps many scientists, who usually vote as democrats, employed.
The whole issue comes down to money and power. Honesty comes down to how one gathers money and power.
In summary, I don’t see Democrats wanting to do anything for the general population. They just want to stay in power and be in charge of the purse.
