Wolfgang F. E. Stoll, 82, of Greenfield, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at his home.
He was born Dec. 13, 1928 in Miteau Latvia, Baltic States, the son of the late Max August Stoll and Sigrid E. (Thomashevsky) Stoll.
He was a farmer most of his life and was a maintenance man at the Greenfield Exempted Village Schools from 1986 to 2004. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons in Xenia and was formerly involved with the National Farmers Association. He was also a member of the Greenfield First United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by one son, Victor (Sue) Stoll of Midland; five grandchildren, Kelley (Sam) Gambrell of Georgia, Lindsey (fiancé Eric Russell) Stoll of Dayton, Jessica (Nick) Coates of Martinsville, Ashley B. Stoll of Dayton, and Joseph Lee (fiancée Elizabeth Ault) Stoll of Midland; one great-grandchild, Adam Gambrell; one daughter-in-law, Wanda Stoll of Cincinnati; one brother, Klaus, of Celina, Texas; one sister, Louise, of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol G. Stoll, on July 31, 2004; one son, Max Stoll; and one sister, Ursula Mladenovich.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Greenfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Clarence Dinnen and Rev. Jim Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. A visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Veterans Appreciation Service to be held at 8 p.m.
