Virginia C. Shaw, 79, of Hillsboro, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.  
She was born April 7, 1931 in Trebein, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert O. and Mary Moore Rife.  
Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the AmVets Post #61 Auxiliary.   
She is survived by five children, Cheryl Davison of Hillsboro, Brenda Kinser of Chillicothe, Rosa (Jack) Thompson of Hillsboro, Robert F. (Janet) Shaw, Jr. of Clarksville, and Anthony R. (Sheila) Shaw, Sr. of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren with two more on-the-way; sister Deloris (Donald) Craycraft of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews. 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Franklin Shaw, Sr. on September 7, 2006.  
Memorial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family at AmVets Post #61. Burial will take place in the Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio.  There will be no public visitation. The family would like to give a special thank you to Community Care Hospice and and friends and family of AmVets Post #61.
